چه شگفت که ما سرانجام یک نگاه راست و درستی به ایران هم از این غربیهایِ بیشینه خردباخته دیدیم (نویسنده ایرانی باشد هرچند)!
این سخن هیچنز بر من هم گران آمده بود (گرچه در اسلام باید اینجور باشد, ولی میدانیم در جمهوری اسلامی اینجور نیست):

که پاسخ درخوری با آمار گرفته:
900 cases of rape were handled by the police last year in Iran. 60% of victims of rape were men, 40% were women.[8] This shocking fact hides inside it some cultural difficulties that Iranian men and boys face. Also chances of being raped in Iran is pretty much lower than most countries.

فشاری بر مردان آورده که بچهبازی و تجاوز و پدوفیلیا (آنهم بیشتر پسربچهها) این اندازه فراگیر است و کسی هم تره خورد نمیکند!
Suffice it for now to say that in this supposed patriarchy, the punishment for rape is being hanged in public. Same goes for child molestation and being a gay man. Yes, a gay man, not a lesbian.
