در زبان عامیانه انگلیسی‌ در آمریکای شمالی ، کلمه shit تقریبا جایگزین هرچیزی میتواند بشود. مثلا می‌خواهید از یک نفر یک چیز را که نشان می‌دهید را به شما بدهد ، میتوانید بگویید ! give me that shit یا مثلا یک مشروب خوب خوردید میتوانید بعدش بگویید !it was good shit

یک اصطلاح دیگر که در مکالمات محوره‌ای به کار میرود my ass است! این اصطلاح اینگونه به کار میرود که می‌خواهید مثلا مخالفت خود را به چیزی یا دروغ بودن چیزی نشان دهید به صورت زیر مثل میزنم

Person A: David is a good person
! Person B: good person my ass
یا
Person A: that was a good movie
Person B: good movie my ass!


نمیدانم معادل فارسی چنین اصطلاحی وجود دارد یا نه

یکی‌ از اصطلاحاتی که من زیاد استفاده می‌کنم ، این هست " contrary to popular belief ". این جمله به معنی‌ این هست:" بر خلاف چیزی که مردم فکر میکنند" .... مثلا در جمله می‌گویم Contrary to popular belief , I am a really good soccer player . البته در انگلیسی‌ انقدر معنی‌ رسمی‌ نمیدهد که اگر جمله: " بر خلاف چیزی که مردم فکر میکنند"، را بگوییم در پارسی.

این اصطلاح به کسی‌ گفته میشود کارهای بسیار بد ، چندش آور و حتی جنایت کارانه انجام میدهد. مثلا آن بازجوی زن سعید امامی که او را وادار می‌کند به اعتراف به مسائل جنسی‌ که نکرده یک نمونه sick fuck است. البته فقط هم اینها نیست کسی‌ که برای لذت به آزار حیوانات میپردازه ، کسی‌ که مثلا ۱۰۰ گربه مرده در خونه نگاه داری میکنه اینها هم هستند
