هر ساله از اواسط اسفند تا اواسط فروردین و همزمان با عید نوروز، شاهد عرضه و فروش گسترده ماهی قرمز در مغازه ها و دستفروشی ها هستیم. در سالهای اخیر حیوانات دیگری نظیر لاک پشت و سمندر لرستانی(گونه ای بسیار کمیاب) هم در کنار ماهی قرمز به فروش میرسند!! در مورد سمندر و لاک پشت لازم نیست چیزی بگویم. اما از نظر بسیاری ، این سنتِ ماهی قرمز هم توجیه اخلاقی ندارد.

چند سالی است که حامیان حقوق حیوانات برای حذف ماهی قرمز از سفره هفت سین و جلوگیری از زایش و سپس مرگ زودهنگام این موجودات زیبا در فضای مجازی دست به کار شده اند. روند این فعالیتها هر ساله گسترده تر و موفق آمیزتر میشود. هر سال چندین میلیون ماهی قرمز در ایران فروخته میشود که(بجز درصدی ناچیز از آنها) همگی چند روز بعد از فروش تلف میشوند. آری ما بدون اینکه خودمان بدانیم برای لذتی کوتاه باعث درد و رنج این ماهیهای "زینتی" میشویم. برای تزیین سفره هفت سین که تنها چند ساعت برپا است از جان ماهیان مایه میگذاریم.

اما در مورد اینکه ماهی قرمز جایگاهی در نوروز باستانی و فرهنگ ایرانی دارد هم تردید جدی وجود دارد. در دوران باستان بجای ماهی قرمز، سیب یا انار را در ظرف آب میگذاشته اند. هتا این رسم، از دید فرهنگ ایران باستان که گویا بر خوش رفتاری با حیوانات تاکید داشته همخوانی هم ندارد. ظاهرا داستان ورود ماهی قرمز به ایران اینگونه است:

نقل قول:۸۰ سال پیش به همراه ورود چای به ایران، ماهی قرمز نیز که سمبل عید چینی ست به سفره های هفت سین مراسم عید نوروز ما وارد شد. با این تفاوت که که در عید چینی ماهی قرمز را رها میکنند تا زندگی جریان یابد و ما ماهی قرمز را اسیر تنگ بلورین میکنیم تا همزمان با رشد سبزه های سفره هایمان و باروری زمین هر روز او را به مرگ نزدیک و نزدیک تر کنیم..

با تحریم خرید ماهی قرمز به این تجارت که برای ماهیها هیچ ارزشی قایل نیست پایان دهیم.

نقل قول:این ماهی ها تا 30 سانتیمیتر رشد می کنند! و تا 10-12 سال اگر خوب نگهداری بشوند عمر می کنند! نه 10 روز!

نوروز، اثر استاد حسین شیخ، از شاگردان استاد كمال الملك. در این تابلو هیچ اثری از ماهی قرمز دیده نمیشود. این نشان می دهد که احتمالا تا چند دهه پیش این رسم وجود نداشته است.

ماهی قرمز یکی از زیباترین نمادهای سفره هفت سین میباشد. ولی آیا ماهی، خودش هم سهمی از شادی و خوشی ما در جشن نوروز میبرد؟ آیا اینکه صدایی نمیدهد به این معنیست که در آن شیشه فسقلی خیلی خوشحال است؟! آبا نباید ما صدای این موجودات باشیم؟

در آدرس زیر هم مطلبی نوشته شده که با نظر ما مخالف است ولی چیزی که نشان دهد این رسم باستانی است بدست نداده. البته توصیه به نگهداری خوب از ماهی کرده و کسانی که امکان نگهداری نسبتا خوب از ماهی را ندارند گفته است این ماهی را نخرند:

حالا جالب اینکه اکثر افراد ساده ترین و حداقل ترین شرایط نگهداری این ماهی ها رو هم بلد نیستن و از همون اول اونا رو زجر میدن و زود هم به کشتن میدن.
بعضیا هم شانسی شرایط بهتری پیدا میکنن و مدت بیشتری زنده میمونن و زجر میکشن.

یعنی مثلا خیلی ها من دیدم که اصلا فکر نمیکنن این ماهی ها غذا هم میخوان! طرف میگفت من فکر میکردم از همون مواد غذایی محلول در آب تغذیه میکنن!! اونم چه آبی؟ آب لوله کشی شهری همراه با کلر فراوان؟

یا مثلا درمورد هوادهی لازم چیزی نمیدونن.

این ماهی های قرمز خیلی ضعیف اند و داخل اکواریوم هم میمیرند.
خوب از شرایط نگهداریش هم چیزی میگفتید که ببینیم باید با انها چگونه رفتار کرد؟!

اگر واقعا در آکواریم تخصص داشته باشی بعید میدونم به این سادگی ها بمیرن.
آکواریم یه اصولی داره.
هر ماهی هم یه شرایطی میخواد.
این ماهی های قرمز مال آب شیرین و سرد هستن. درجه حرارت آب نباید به اندازهء ماهیان گرمسیری باشه. فکر کنم حتی توی زمستان نیازی به بخاری نداشته باشن حتی در یک مکان نسبتا سرد. اگر دیده باشید این ماهیها توی حوض و استخر خانه ها در هوای باز سالها زندگی میکنن و کلی بزرگ میشن.
ضمنا فکر میکنم بهتره در آکواریم اختصاصا از این ماهی ها نگهداری کنید و با انواع ماهیان دیگر قاطی نباشن.
ضمنا این ماهی ها گیاهخوار هستن و گیاهان آکواریمی لطیف رو نباید باهاشون نگهداری کرد، مگر اینکه بخواید توسط ماهی ها خورده/تخریب بشن (تازه اونم میتونه باعث آلودگی آب و مریضی و مرگ ماهیها بشه). تاجاییکه خوندم، فقط بعضی گیاهان خشن و محکم مثل گیاه معروف به (در ایران) کریپتون رو میشه باهاشون نگهداری کرد.

بله بعد ها متوجه شدیم که همنشین های خوبی براش پیدا نکردیم.
ضمن اینکه یک مقدار دفعشون زیاده کلا از خیرش گذشتیم.
بله درکل نیاز دارن ازشون جدا گانه نگهداری کرد...
